The modern day Chau’ix swarm is an intelligent ravenous swarm originating from the planet Ki’ash in the eastern part of the Milky Way Galaxy. The Chau’ix are a hive mind race in which it is controlled by the gestalt consciousness of an entity known as Vra’takh (Great Mind if Pytrothian). All actions deemed by this entity is by its will and its agents created in its image.  The swarm is mostly notable for its advancing evolution by devouring biological matter, sapient species, and entire planets to advance its own genetic mutations. The story takes place in the Lower Mainland mainly in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Where there is warring gangs fighting over territory. Death and corruption run strife throughout the streets. Blood of the innocent and belligerent paint the streets, walls, windows, and cars red. Why are the police doing anything to stop this madness. Of course not. They have turned a blind eye and preying on the innocent as well as they fight crime. Many gangs have carved the Lower Mainland as their personal domains and ruthlessly suppressing those in their territories.
